Temporary Food Licenses are issued for special events where food is served, such as fairs, pageants, and festivals. All special events are managed by the County Events Coordinator and the Arlington County Police Department.
Applications for People Coordinating a Temporary Event
- If you are coordinating a large event with multiple food vendors, please submit a coordinator’s application to 2110 Washington Blvd, Ste 350, Arlington, VA 22204 at least 10 days before the event date. Event coordinators may include neighborhood BIDs and civic associations.
Applications for People Selling Food at a Temporary Event
- Vendors planning to sell food at special events may need to apply for a temporary food license. In general, you will require a temporary food license if you serve anything besides prepackaged, non-perishable foods (e.g. prepackaged granola bars, bags of potato chips).
- Submit a Temporary Food License Application and $40 processing fee to 2110 Washington Blvd, Ste 350, Arlington, VA 22204 at least 10 days before the event date.
